Miley Sue was born around the end of April in 2009. We saw her little baby kitten face picture advertised in the paper by the S.P.C.A. in Auburn. When we went to the S.P.C.A. to see her, we discovered that she had two siblings. A sister, Lexi that was a mirror image of this beautiful calico and a gorgeous brother, Ollie that is a orange tabby. Once we decided to adopt, we had to keep all three together, even though we already had two sister cats, Cami & Keesha, and a Sheltie, Bailey.
Around the first year, Miley had breathing issues. We took her to our vet and then the emergency vets in Dewitt to save her. She had a mucus plug in her lungs, and was dislodged when they put the feeding tube in. It was an expensive ordeal, but we knew we had to save her. Because of this, we began selling catnip sox at our craft shows to offset the costs. Miley always did well with the sale of these. She loved being a part of it & wanted to inspect each one that was finished. Miley was my crafting buddy and would sit on my shoulders as I made crafts.
She loved to be outside and would chatter to the birds she saw through the windows. A few special qualities that we loved include,a thing she would do. Miley loved to bring toys to us throughout the house & you knew when she was doing it, because she would make this sound as she entered the room to announce it, as she was carrying the father boa, braids or catnip sox. Another favorite was something we call, 'scarfing us'. As you are in the laying position, she would give you this look, so you knew it was going to happen. She would crawl onto your chest, get right next to your neck and plop down, pushing her body against your neck like a scarf. Miley would be very content and purr. It was the best feeling when she did this.
She had special places she enjoyed in the house and got along with all of her siblings, especially Lexi, Ollie and her sister dog. She was inquisitive, happy and a talker. She always answered us when we talked to her. Miley loved to be near people. During the course of her life, she had a few setbacks, but always rebounded. For the last year or so, she has been on the med, from her colon health. Her illness came on suddenly and the vet doesn't even know what happened. We are all heartbroken to have lost this very special cat so soon. There will never be another Miley Sue.... We love and miss you Miley Sue !
