Kimo Onori

Kimo (June 12, 2004- August 18,2021) gave us 17+ amazing years, even defying the odds and giving us 1.5 bonus years after a serious health scare in 2020. The whole family, Ed and Tanya Onori; EJ, Jackie and Dominic Onori; and Felicia, Derrick, Oliver and Jack Rocker, have lost an amazing soul.

From the very first day we saw her, of the 10 yellow lab puppies that came bumbling out of that pen, Kimo made her choice, picking Ed by curling up on his foot and not leaving, it was bond of a lifetime.

‘Mo loved the water and retrieving things, and trips to camp were her favorite. From jumping from the dock to retrieve sticks, just swimming around with the family, to duck hunting with Ed, ‘Mo loved being in the water. When it came to duck hunting ‘Mo not only retrieved the ducks, but when it was time to go would also retrieve Ed’s decoys, only Ed’s decoys though, other hunters were on their own. Perhaps she helped Ed to speed along the process to get back to the warm car.

At home she was our ‘ole lady, always there for us. She loved retrieving the tennis balls for hours in the backyard with her boy EJ, as well as anyone else that would thrown them for her. From the day we brought her home Felicia became her girl, and was christened with a Mackenzie Childs collar she was so special to Fev, and was even there for Felicia on her wedding day. ‘Mo even accepted all the new puppies in the family, one here (Findley) and the other 2 (Bailey & Mogli) that visited regularly. She was even a good sport with the ‘littles’, with exceptional patience for them all, even when they would snuggle into her bed with her. It’s hard to explain to them where their ‘Mo is now.

As hard as the pain is we take comfort in knowing she’s crossed the rainbow bridge, is running and swimming ,and will be there waiting with a ball in her mouth when the time comes. Till we see you again ‘Mo :)
