Jake Loyster Smith 

Approx DOB 2/2006 -2/26/2025

Jake was rescued from

the local SPCA in November of 2013 shortly after his best bud (Matt)parents were divorced. Jake became known to our neighborhood kids as “Jake from State Farm” as he was a very chill, laid-back kind of cat as many people thought he was trained for not running off as many cats do. Jake was content to just lay on the sidewalk soaking up the sun's nice warm rays. He also enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels, just bound to catch one but he never did, but he still had it in him to catch a few mice in his older yrs. But more importantly he was Matt’s (& mom’s too) emotional support companion. Jake was a VERY vocal cat who would tell you to get up, feed him or demand his water from either the bathroom sink or tub. 

The house will be quiet now which will take us time to get used to but we know his suffering has ended and he is now pain free as he crosses the Rainbow Bridge and joins our beloved dog, Snoopy & cat Ms. Nutty.

The past 11 1/2 yrs that Jake has been with us has truly been a blessing, as he chose us to be his family as he knew not only did he need us but more importantly we needed him!

Rest in Peace our sweet Jake aka “Jakus”

We will miss you dearly.
