Gemma - 5/21/08 – 11/2/20

Gemma Diaz traveled to her next life November 2, 2020, at 12 ½ years old. She leaves behind her super-sad mom, Fran, and many, many friends and family. Some of her greatest gifts were her ability to bring a quiet comfort to anyone around her and her innate ability to sniff out a chicken bone while out for her twice-a-day walks. Although she had a questionable start to life, coming from a rescue in Alabama as a young adult, she spent the last five years of her life living the queen’s life she deserved. Her slight OCD, uncontrollable mealtime barking, obsession for chicken and daily fear of getting into the car were all endearing qualities that made this Gem a gem. Everyone who knew her can feel comforted knowing she left this life like a lady…with the utmost courage and grace. “mommy loves you, baby girl”….
