It is with much sadness that sweet, sweet Cookie – aka, Cooks, Cookster, Coockie Cakes, Smooshie – passed away suddenly but bravely on 9/9/25 at approximately 10 years old. Cookie endured severe trauma prior to her rescue. Once safe in her forever home, her demons slowly disappeared and her sweet, quiet, gentle demeanor came out. Cookie lived for second breakfast eggs and her twice daily walks. She could be seen strutting her stuff down State and South Street every morning before the sun even rose. Her afternoon walks at Casey Park were usually enjoyed with her BFF Dutton and her Auntie Abby. Cookie’s mom will miss her constant presence, the constant squeak of all her lamb chop stuffies, her deep brown soulful eyes and her gentle smooches. For all who loved her, and there were many, thanks for giving a timid, scared rescue the love she deserved. Three and half years was not long enough….we will all miss our Cookie.
